Work labels, label printers and scanning
A 100 × 150 mm label for every order and every print, printed by itself on the bridge PC, and scanned to open the right order or print.
PrintSol makes a work label for each order, and one for each print that has no order (projects, stock runs, files you queued). The label travels with the parts from the printer to the packing table.
What is on it
- Order label: order number, shop, ship-by date, customer and city, the items with SKU and filament, checkboxes per part, a QR code and a barcode.
- Print label (T-123): what to print, how many, plate, file, filament and printer, with checkboxes for off the plate, supports removed and checked.
Printed by itself
When a print starts, PrintSol sends its work label to the bridge that has a label printer: one per order (the first time any part of it starts), and one per print without an order. The switch is under Settings → Costs → Shipping & labels and is on unless you turn it off. Choose the label printer in the bridge window on the packing PC, under its Settings. If no bridge that prints labels is online, the bell tells you which label was not printed.
Printing by hand
- Orders → Work labels: every order in production that has no label yet, on one page. Opening it marks them as printed.
- Tick orders in the list and print their labels together, or use Print label on a row.
- In an order's drawer, and the Work label link in a queue task's popup.
Scanning
A USB barcode scanner works on any page, as long as the cursor is not in a text field. On Orders, Scan label also uses the phone camera.
- An order label opens that order with the ship panel ready.
- A print label (T-123) opens that print in the Print Queue.
From the order you can then print a shipping label, make a Sendcloud label, and mark it shipped with carrier and tracking number.
