The Calculator: what would it cost, and what should it sell for?
Quote a print or test a price with the same rates every margin in the app uses.
The Calculator works out the true cost of a print that does not exist yet, and an advised selling price.
Start from a part
The "Start from" chips list parts with a sliced file. Click one and the print time, grams and that part's failure rate are filled in for you. Or fill in the fields by hand.
The print
- Printer, or Fleet average.
- Material: one of your filaments (at what you paid, or its list price) or Generic €25/kg.
- Print time, filament grams, purge & support grams, and hands-on minutes.
- Failure rate: a slider, with your farm's measured rate shown next to it (8 % until the farm has ten finished prints).
- Quantity.
Selling it
- Channel, or Direct / own shop, for its commission and payment fees.
- Target margin, packaging per unit, and the shipping you pay versus what the customer pays.
- Or test a sell price to see the margin at your own price.
The result
True cost per unit, split into filament, purge & support, machine time, energy, labour, packaging, failure allowance, net shipping and channel fees. The advised price is the price at which your target margin is left after fees, rounded up to .49 or .95, with the price including VAT next to it. A red badge says when your price loses money.
Machine, energy and labour rates come from Settings → Costs and Edit printer, so a change there changes every quote.
