Statistics: what the numbers mean
Success rate, utilisation, cost of failures, shipped on time and the rest, with how each one is worked out.
Statistics covers the last 90 days unless you pick 7 d, 30 d, 180 d, 1 y or your own dates. You can filter by printer and by channel. Not every figure can follow every filter: printer filters apply to print figures, channel filters to money and order figures.
The tiles
- Prints: finished and failed prints in the period. Cancelled prints, and starts the printer refused, are not counted.
- Success rate: finished ÷ (finished + failed).
- Machine time: the hours of those prints.
- Cost of failures: the failure cost charged to orders placed in the period, with the grams and hours failed prints wasted.
- Utilisation: printing hours ÷ available printer hours. Available hours are the days in the period × 24 × the printers enabled today. Failed prints count as printing hours.
- Revenue: revenue excluding VAT of orders in the period.
- Shipped on time: of the orders placed in the period that have shipped, the share that shipped on or before the promised date (orders without a promised date count as on time), with the average days from order to shipment.
Production
Revenue and prints, finished versus failed, machine hours and filament per day, week or month (depending on the length of the period), where the cost went, when prints finish during the day, and how long prints run.
Quality
Why prints failed (cause, share, filament lost), each printer's hours, prints, filament and success rate, and records such as the longest print.
Money
- Margin by channel: revenue minus each order's true cost, per shop. Orders without a channel are grouped as Direct.
- Where the cost goes, with the share of each component that was measured rather than estimated.
- Best and worst products, using each product's expected cost.
- Filament by material: grams, cost and waste.
